⚜️ UNDERSTORY: I don't know if it's because I'm a really slow designer—sometimes putting as many as 30 hours into the design alone—but once I've finished creating one and choosing a color palette, I can't help wondering what it would look like in another palette—or even another medium. I once considered calling these variations Sophie’s Choice, but that seemed awfully grim for a collection of flowers. So instead of choosing, I do them all!

I am drawn to gouache for its velvety, matte surface and rich, opaque color, and increasingly make my own paints from artist pigments as part of the process. I often use the medium to explore the pattern, botanical forms, and decorative influences that find their way throughout my work.

Each gouache design is offered as a limited handmade edition of 25. Every painting in the edition is painted individually by hand—not printed or mechanically reproduced—so natural variations in color, brushwork, and detail make each one unique. Each finished painting is numbered as part of its edition.
