Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all of the artworks originals?
Yes. Every piece is individually created by hand. I do not sell prints or mechanically reproduced versions of my artwork. When I revisit one of my designs, the new piece is created individually and will have its own variations.
How are payments processed?
Payments are securely processed through Stripe, a widely used online payment platform. When you purchase an artwork, your payment information is handled securely by Stripe rather than being stored by Trinity Point Designs. Stripe uses encryption and other industry-standard security measures to protect payment information and is certified as a PCI Level 1 service provider, the highest level of PCI certification.
How long does a woodburn take to create?
It varies enormously depending on the size and complexity of the design. Many pieces require dozens of hours of burning alone. Where I've kept an exact record, you'll find the burn time listed on the individual artwork page. That time reflects the burning process itself and does not include developing the original design or preparing the wood.
Are your woodburns created with a laser?
Never. Every woodburn is created entirely by hand with a fine-tipped burning pen. No laser engraving is used.
How are gouache paintings sold and shipped?
Gouache paintings are sold unframed and shipped flat with protective archival materials and rigid support. Their hand-torn edges are part of the finished artwork and are retained.
Why are the gouache paintings shown framed in some photographs?
Framed photographs are included to give you an idea of how a piece might look when displayed. The artwork itself is sold unframed so you can choose a frame and presentation that suit your own space.
How long will a made-by-request piece take?
Allow approximately 4–6 weeks for woodburns, 2–4 weeks for gouache paintings and 8-10 weeks for a piece of furniture.
Is shipping included?
Yes. Artwork prices include complimentary shipping within the contiguous United States.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time. I currently ship artwork only within the United States. Shipping is complimentary within the contiguous US and included in the listed price.
Do you accept commissions?
Possibly! I occasionally consider commissions that feel like a good fit for my work and the kinds of subjects and designs I enjoy creating. If you have something in mind, contact me and tell me a little about your idea. We can talk it over and see if it might be a good fit.
Is original art a good gift for someone who has everything?
Original art can make a particularly meaningful gift for someone who is difficult to buy for. Trinity Point Designs creates handcrafted artwork for people drawn to nature, folklore, fantasy, mythology, old-world craftsmanship, and the unusual. Many pyrography and gouache designs can also be made by request, making it possible to choose a piece that reflects something especially meaningful to the recipient.
So if you have someone in your life who loves Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings, secretly (or not so secretly) wants to spend their weekends at Renaissance Faires, happily gets lost into fantasy RPGs and imaginary worlds, or simply longs for a little more cosy and quiet and a little less hurry in their day-to-day, this might just be a very good place to look around!
